Carolyn Story – Chief Executive
Carrie is our Chief Executive, with overall responsibility for all AoR operations. She is accountable to a small Board made up of volunteers elected from the AoR membership, and works closely with them on longer term strategy and direction. Outside work Carrie loves cooking, walking the coastal path in Devon, growing unusual house plants, and aims to grow most of her own vegetables (rabbits, slugs and caterpillars permitting!)
Tracey Smith – Head of Research and Reflexology Support
Tracey has been a reflexologist for over 20 years. Prior to becoming a reflexologist she was scientist. She works remotely from her home in London and is a member of our reflexology team. She supports the members though the advice line and Facebook community. Tracey is also very active at getting reflexology better respected in the wider world, by giving talks at conferences both at home and abroad and representing reflexology at various groups, including the Parliamentary group for Integrated Health.
Michelle Stringer MAR – Training and Education Manager
Michelle is a qualified Reflexologist and brings a wealth of corporate training and project experience from her 8 years with American Express. She also taught as a TEFL teacher in Malta for 2 years. She is passionate about ensuring high standards and strong foundations of learning are in place before building on skills and knowledge. Michelle works alongside Kate and is responsible for looking at ways to protect standards in training through liaising with awarding bodies and school tutors. Outside of Reflexology she enjoys travelling, experimental cooking or you might find her indoor skydiving. You will get to speak with her on the Advice Line or answering one of your emails.
Sally Earlam FMAR. BSc. PGCE (retired RGN)
Sally is a fully qualified nurse and teacher and trained as a reflexologist in 1999. She then went on to teach the Diploma in Reflexology for 9 years in London. Sally joined the AoR in 2012 and worked in the role of Head of Training and Education for 10 years. Sally now enjoys working for the AoR as Senior Programme Manager heading up special projects and supporting the organisation in any way she can.
Vicci Mackenzie – Head of Membership and Social Media
Vicci joined the Association in June 2003 and has worked in the membership department ever since. She has taken on a wide variety of other tasks since then including Social Media alongside Jo Greenslade and hopes to share the AoR’s passion for all things reflexology. Vicci also designs the popular Reflexions Magazine as well as working closely with the Sales Department to ensure that our leaflets and printed material designs are kept fresh and up to date. She loves reflexology, lists, reading and having treatments.
Bronwen Packham – Head of Logisitcs
With a background in Stage Management and Logistics Bronwen brings a wide range of skills to the team and is an excellent organiser and communicator. She particularly enjoys implementing new systems and processes to ensure tasks are run as efficiently as possible.
Bron loves spending time with her horse, dogs and family.
Kathy Fear – Finance Manager
Kathy has been the AoR’s Finance manager since July 2017 and works Mondays and Thursdays. She is the go to person for payroll and pensions. If she seems engrossed at her desk, she’s probably lost in a large complicated spreadsheet and has been known to get very excited over balancing her figures. Outside of work she loves spending time with her family and Louis the Labrador; that is, when she’s not singing soprano in several Somerset choirs.
Kate Mulliss – FMAR, BSc(Hons), MSc, PGCE – Senior Training and Education Advisor
Kate originally worked as an environmental scientist but has been practising reflexology as well as other complementary therapies for well over 20 years. She has taught L3 therapy qualifications in FE and is a qualified assessor. She works closely with the Head of Training and Education, supports members on the Advice Line and is the point of contact for Area Group Leaders. Kate enjoys nature/outdoors, Pilates and keeping up-to-date on aromatherapy/essential oil science!
Jo Greenslade – Membership and Social Media Manager
Jo joined the Association in July 2004 and has worked her way up to run the both the membership and social media administration alongside Vicci Mackenzie. Her extensive knowledge, professionalism and dedication to the Association over the years continues to be a real asset to the team and members. Outside of work she loves to spend time with her husband and four young children which takes up most of her free time.
Catherine Hoare – Administrator
Catherine joined the AOR team in 2022. An experienced administrator Catherine is also qualified at level II in Reiki. She has always enjoyed the benefits of Reiki, Reflexology, TaiChi and other complementary therapy treatments for her own wellbeing. Catherine enjoys swimming, reading, the cinema and discovering new places to visit with her husband.
