Level 1 is a 40-hour hands-on training (5 days × 8 hours) that introduces the foundational principles of Muscular Reflexology. The course focuses on understanding how muscular tension, joint function and balance are reflected in the feet – and how targeted reflexological treatment can restore mobility and reduce pain.
Teaching begins with a structural model where the body is understood as a series of “boxes” stacked upon each other. Each box influences the one above it. The lowest box represents the pelvis, where particular emphasis is placed on the sacroiliac joint and the muscles that stabilize and move this area. Participants learn to locate the reflex zones for these muscles on the feet, recognize signs of tension, and apply appropriate treatment techniques.
The same systematic approach is then applied to the remaining boxes of the spine, as well as to the upper and lower limbs. The course also introduces “valve treatments” – specific techniques used for muscles that frequently respond to emotional stress and nervous system overload.
Throughout the course, participants work with common clinical conditions such as sacroiliac dysfunction, pelvic imbalance, hip and lower back pain, sciatica, disc-related problems, facet syndrome, neck and shoulder disorders, jaw and bite issues, elbow and knee problems, and postural imbalances.
Level 1 provides a solid, clinically applicable foundation for working with musculoskeletal dysfunction through reflexology.
