Gentle Release Therapy Practitioner Training

Back to courses

Gentle Release Therapy is a gentle, hands-on complementary therapy with its roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The touch is light, held with weight rather than pressure, and there is no pushing, pulling or manipulation. Instead, we create the conditions for the body to settle, and learn to listen and follow what it is ready for.

The Practitioner Training brings together energy work over the TCM organs of the chest and abdomen, cranial release, endocrine and lymphatic release, with a nervous-system-informed approach throughout.

There is a clear structure to learn and lean on, alongside space for your own awareness and intuition to develop as you gain experience.

If you’re a reflexologist, Gentle Release can sit beautifully alongside the work you already do, giving you another way to support your clients without replacing the skills and therapy you already value. Practitioners from backgrounds including reflexology, Reiki, acupuncture, massage, nursing and physiotherapy have trained with us.

And you don’t spend the course only learning how to give Gentle Release. You receive plenty of it too. That has always been an important part of the training: time to step out of practitioner mode, experience the work for yourself and be looked after whilst you learn.

Training combines home study with 3¼ days of practical teaching, online or at Ashlin Farm Barns in Lincolnshire.
