Aromatherapy for Reflexology

Back to courses

This practical CPD course is designed to support qualified reflexologists in safely and effectively integrating essential oils into their reflexology treatments. It combines key aromatherapy theory with hands-on application, focusing on how essential oils can be used to enhance reflexology sessions while remaining firmly within the professional scope of reflexology practice.

The course explores how aromatherapy may support relaxation, emotional balance and physical wellbeing, with strong emphasis on client safety, professional responsibility and clinical reasoning.

You will study a core range of 20 essential oils, developing an understanding of their properties, contraindications and appropriate application.

Learners are guided through the principles of blending synergistically, including the use of
top, middle and base notes, and how oil selection can be clearly linked to treatment aims and relevant reflex points.

Practical sessions allow you to apply this knowledge within supervised reflexology treatments, building confidence and competence.

The training includes a balanced mix of theory, blending practice and practical reflexology sessions, ensuring learning is immediately applicable within your existing professional work. Guidance is also provided on planning and completing case studies, including reflective practice and follow-up considerations.

Essential oils are provided for use during the course. Students will require their own essential oils for case study work following the training.

This course offers a thoughtful, professional approach to integrating aromatherapy into reflexology, supporting safe, reflective and client-centred practice.
