Advanced Maternity Reflexology

This AoR advanced module has been credit rated by Napier University for 10 credits at Level 8 on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF). This equates to an English and Welsh Level 5 qualification, i.e. foundation degree level.

The estimated time to complete this course is 100 hours including teaching hours and home study. On completion of the course you will receive an AoR Advanced Reflexology certificate with SCQF credit rating.

This module serves to equip students with comprehensive practical skills in the area of maternity reflexology and advanced theoretical knowledge. It will cover relevant and current information with regard to maternity related issues from initial conception, through the 9 months of pregnancy and post-partum and will closely examine the physiological changes that occur in pregnancy, the importance of appropriate lifestyle advice for pregnant women and choices open to pregnant women about the birthing process. Proficiency in a variety of techniques and tailoring the treatment to benefit the individual clients will be examined and developed.

Through the use of peer reviewed research papers we will examine how reflexology may assist in the pregnant state and how appropriate techniques can be safety applied in all trimesters of pregnancy and in the post-natal period. Participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to work independently with clients throughout their maternity journey.

Advanced Five Element Reflexology

This AoR advanced module has been credit rated by Napier University for 10 credits at Level 8 on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF). This equates to an English and Welsh Level 5 qualification, i.e. foundation degree level.

This module will enable the students to develop a deeper insight into the theory and application of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in relation to Reflexology and their clients’ wider health picture. They will explore the origins of the Chinese medical model and compare and contrast this to the western medical model so they can differentiate between them. They will learn how to integrate a new TCM treatment structure that takes into account the wider lifestyle, background and personal profile of their client to tailor their treatment and communication to the individual. Through the examination of acupressure research papers students will be able to ident the safe application of acupressure points.

Participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to integrate working with Chinese Medicine into their reflexology practice, expand their client communication.

Advanced Fertility Reflexology Training – Reproflexology

This AoR advanced module has been credit rated by Napier University for 10 credits at Level 8 on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF). This equates to an English and Welsh Level 5 qualification, i.e. foundation degree level.

The estimated time to complete this course is 100 hours including teaching hours and home study. On completion of the course you will receive an AoR Advanced Reflexology certificate with SCQF credit rating.

Course structure:

Reproflexology will continue to run as a 4 day course and on completion you will receive the Reproflexology certificate. For those that wish to go on to gain the SCQF credit rated certificate, you will need to complete an assignment and attend 1 extra bolt on day.

Participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to work independently with clients/couples throughout their fertility journey.This module serves to equip students with comprehensive practical skills in the area of fertility reflexology and advanced theoretical knowledge. It will cover relevant and current information with regard to both male and female reproductive anatomy and physiology, pre-conceptual care and the understanding and recognition of conditions that may have an impact upon reproduction. It will also cover all forms of Assisted Reproductive Techniques and the drug and treatment protocols used during these forms of treatment. Alongside this it will look at the importance of appropriate lifestyle, diet and nutritional advice for couples trying to conceive. Proficiency in a variety of techniques and treatment protocols and tailoring the treatment to benefit the individual clients will be examined and developed.
