Membership of the Association of Reflexologists is open to practitioners of reflexology who have gained an approved qualification or who have satisfied the AoR that their training and practical skills meet the required standard.
Full Members of the Association of Reflexologists are entitled to use the designated letters MAR after their names. (This stands for Member of the Association of Reflexologists) All Full and Associate Members must be fully insured to practice on the public.
Membership of the AoR also includes "Friends". Some of these are people who trained as reflexologists but decided not to become practitioners. Others are practitioners who, for a variety of personal reasons, gave up their practice while still retaining an interest in reflexology. A number of reflexologists in other countries have also joined as "Friends". Indeed anyone who has an interest in reflexology may apply to become a "Friend".
Full and Associate members of the Association can be listed at their request on the "Find a Reflexologist" search if requested.
