Description: Auricular Therapy (Reflexology of the Ear) Introduction to a powerful approach for balancing body energies. Auricular Therapy is recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO), due to its safety and simplicity.
This seminar and workshop is aimed at the professional practitioner, to provide quality enhancement training which is part of any post graduate education course, this is to ensure best practice at all times for the professional person. It is most important that a practitioners knowledge is updated to augment their skills and techniques.
This workshop is intensive and designed to add to the practitioners performance and proficiency in skill and touch and can be utilised straight away into practice.
When the affected area is pressed during treatment the tendons relax and the blood circulation to the corresponding area improves, enhancing tissue healing and it is said to cause a release within the central nervous system of endorphins which act as natural analgesics or as a counter-irritant to the origional pain.
There will be a practical element to this workshop. |

Seminar: Marketing Therapy
Speaker: Andy Edwards and Tony Edwards
Location: Hilton Bristol, Woodlands Lane, Bradley Stoke, Bristol, BS32 4JF
| Description: Not all of us want to build a business empire. Some AoR members are happy to provide Reflexology for friends and family – others will have their sights set on world domination! Somewhere between the two sits the majority – happy to find a few more customers and modestly increase turnover. Perhaps that’s you?
If so then you may be interested in a The Marketing Therapy Business Building Seminar to be held in at the Bristol Hilton on Saturday 16th October. The seminar has been specifically designed to help AoR members Attract, Sell to and Keep customers easily and ethically.
Consisting of a full day intensive (but fun!) training workshop, ‘the Marketing Therapy’ seminar will help you understand the difference between being business-focused (actually ‘client-focused’), not just service or product-focused.
You will learn why advertising is low-priority marketing; what people REALLY want from their Reflexologist (probably not what you’re thinking!) – and how to create predictable customer flow almost at no cost.
We establish the true value of your service, and look at techniques to promote your business – without relying on discounts! Also pick up on the 7 mistakes most therapists make - which don’t feel like mistakes! Plus loads more.
Even if you don’t consider yourself a ‘Marketing Person’ or (Lord Forbid!) a ‘Salesperson’, the truth is, all of your talents are useless if you have no-one on whom to carry out your increasing skills. And how fantastic to help more people with their health and wellbeing!

Introductory Seminar: Finger Free Reflexology |
Speaker: David Wayte |
Location: Hilton Bristol, Woodlands Lane, Bradley Stoke, Bristol, BS32 4JF |
Description: David Wayte will be giving an introduction to Finger Free ® Reflexology, which is designed to give a full and deep treatment to your client without unnecessary strain or stress to the fingers and thumbs. This unique, radical, new technique aims to help extend your working life, and open up a whole new way of working on the feet. Finger Free® Reflexology utilises areas of the hand and wrist to give effortless, deep treatment to your client's feet. Finger Free® also draws on the principles of Zone Therapy and Meridians, in order to enhance the healing power of classical Reflexology. If you enjoy giving Reflexology treatments, but find that after a few clients, your fingers are beginning to ache, then Finger Free® could be just the answer you have been looking for. The techniques used in Finger Free® Reflexology reduce wear and tear on the finger joints and, therefore, assist in extending your working life. Finger Free® Reflexology can also be helpful for reflexologists with carpal tunnel syndrome and/or double jointed fingers. Because the techniques are so different, and because the pressure applied is less, this new form of Reflexology has the potential to become a 'career saver'.
If you are lucky enough to have strong hands and, as yet, don't experience any signs of finger strain, Finger Free® Reflexology still has the advantage of offering your clients a different style of treatment, enabling your treatments to remain fresh, varied and interesting. |
